Search text, filenames, links, and your voice transcripts. Filters: from:username, from:me, before:YYYY-MM-DD, after:YYYY-MM-DD, type:pdf/image/video/audio/voice/file/link. Dates use UTC. Document/image contents are not OCR indexed.

Photos, videos & files

Use Attach in a conversation to choose individual files. Luo Chat can read only what you select; it does not need access to your whole gallery or phone storage. Open a conversation before choosing a file or adding captured media to a message.

Manage blocked access

Chrome on Android: open Site controls beside the website address → Permissions. Installed app: check Android Settings → Apps → Luo Chat → Permissions, or open the same website in Chrome and check Site controls. Available controls vary by device. Return here and refresh after changing access. Luo Chat cannot override a browser or phone block.

iPhone / iPad: use system Settings for camera and microphone permissions. Notification availability depends on your browser and whether Luo Chat is installed on the Home Screen.

Contacts, location and full-device storage are not requested. File uploads and media sharing still require Send.

How do people find me?

Share your exact username or your profile link. People can find you from the People tab.

How do I manage a group?

Open the conversation menu, then Members. Owners can promote admins and transfer ownership.

Where are my messages stored?

Messages and private attachments are stored in Supabase with access rules. Local drafts stay in your browser. End-to-end encryption is not included.

Why is my icon still old?

Close and reopen the app. Your operating system decides when installed icons refresh; if it stays old, remove the home-screen shortcut and install the app again.

Still seeing the old home-screen icon?

Open Luo Chat while online, check for updates, then close and reopen the installed app. Android and desktop browsers control launcher icon refresh and may request your approval. Some browsers keep the old icon until you add the app to your home screen again. Before reinstalling, finish or export pending offline messages; reinstalling may remove device-local drafts and stickers. This button checks app code updates, and cannot force a launcher icon change.
